Chemonics seeks an eLMIS advisor to be based in Lilongwe, Malawi, for the Global Health Supply Chain (GHSC) – Procurement and Supply Management (PSM) project. The purpose of the GHSC-PSM project is to ensure uninterrupted supplies of health commodities in support of the U.S. government’s public health initiatives globally. The project provides direct procurement and supply chain management support to the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI), and Population and Reproductive Health. In supporting the U.S. government’s global health activities, PSM will develop and manage a wide array of services for health commodity procurement and related systems strengthening technical assistance encompassing different elements of a comprehensive supply chain.
At the country level, GHSC-PSM supports country strategies and priorities that fall under the following three objectives:
Within GHSC-PSM/Malawi, the eLMIS advisor is responsible for supporting the Ministry of Health (MOH)/Health Technical Support Services (HTSS) in collaboration with donors and partners to develop and deploy OpenLMIS, an electronic logistics information management information system (LMIS) for health commodities that interfaces with other relevant health management information systems in Malawi. The eLMIS advisor will oversee development and coordination of the rollout of OpenLMIS at the facility level, including deployment, training, supportive supervision, and building a culture of data for decision-making.
