Background:
Urgent and Primary Care Clinic is a newly constructed Emergency Clinic under MoPH, intends to provide excellent emergency medical services 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, situated in the seventh district of Kabul. The vision is to be the state of art center for handling the emergency causalities, and general family health care cases. The medical officers selected will have the opportunity to get further training from foreign and local experts. The officers shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provide emergency medical services of highest quality.
2. Deal with all types of emergency medical cases independently.
3. Provide minor surgical intervention services.
4. Be able to diagnose and stabilize bone fracture and dislocations..
5. Be able to diagnose and stabilize head and neck traumas.
6. Can read and interpret ECG and cardiac monitor.
7. Be able to read and diagnose X-Rays.
8. Stabilize emergency cardiac cases and refer to tertiary care centers.
9. Provide CPR of highest quality including using defibrillator and cardio version.
10. Work 8 hours/day, 6 days/week in shifts.
Qualifications required:
1. Medical Degree from approved medical school preferably from abroad.
2. Minimum 3 years experience in causality and emergency department.
3. Preference will be given for those with certificate in emergency medicine.
4. Good differential diagnosis skills.
5. Knowledge of basic principles of medical ethics (smokers should not apply).
6. Basic Computer skills.
7. Good communication skills, fluent in reading, writing and speaking local languages as well as English.
