Job Description

Job Summary:

The EUC Administrator – End User Computing Service is responsible for managing the mobile devices, desktops and peripheral devices used to support access to and use of CRS business systems.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

Provides oversight and guidance for management of CRS desktops, mobile, and peripheral devices:

  • Develops standard configuration and documentation,
  • Develops installation and configuration procedures,
  • Implements system configuration changes, as requested,
  • Develops maintenance procedures,
  • Trains user support specialist and service desk technicians in operation and issue resolution,
  • Provides installation and troubleshooting backup to user support specialists and service desk technicians,
  • Responds failures and works with service providers to resolve discrepancies,
  • Acts as the interface to technology providers providing software, tools, and services.
  • Manages desktop/mobile/peripheral software environment including:
  1. Software inventory,
  2. Software license compliance,
  3. Software suitability within server and network environments
  4. Manages system access, security, and spam/anti-virus controls:

- Configure and manage security controls,

- Configure and manage security/software updates,

- Configure and manage spam/anti-virus software updates.

- Monitors desktop/mobile/peripheral device performance and supports system engineers in expanding and tuning operating platforms to meet CRS needs.

- Performs maintenance, backup and recovery tasks for desktop/mobile/peripheral device.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in system configuration and administration.

Required Languages - Fluency in written and spoken English.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to configure and administer desktops and servers.
  • Ability to maintain system documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in management of hardware technologies including desktop, laptop, mobile devices, printers and audio-visual equipment.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer desirable.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator desirable.
  • Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.
  • Microsoft SharePoint experience desirable
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Certification desirable.
  • Mobile Device Management application (MD-Intune, AirWatch etc.) experience desirable
  • Good grasp of network, mobile, desktop and server technologies in use.
  • Good knowledge of backup and disaster/recovery systems.
  • Good understanding of end user devices (laptop, desktop, mobile) management & security.
  • ITIL Foundation certification desirable.
  • Track record of good customer service.
  • Track record of reliable and consistent performance.
  • Can work independently

* Internal: technical architects, system engineers, and service delivery staff.

Work Conditions/Environment Conditions

  • Regularly required to sit at a desk; work at a computer; type.
  • Occasionally lifts, carries, and /or moves objects weighing less than 25 pounds.
  • Ability to make decisions which have significant impact on the department’s credibility, operations, and services.
  • Occasional travel, less than 10%, is required.
