The Opportunity
We seek an experienced manager to lead the delivery of the Australia Awards Endeavour Support Services Program. The successful candidate will advance the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program providing opportunities for citizens of the Asia Pacific region, the Middle East and the Americas to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia. The scholarship program also supports Australians undertaking study, research and professional development placements abroad.
The Role
Based in the Adelaide head office, the Program Manager reports to the Program Director and works closely with a specialised case management and finance team, as well as with client personnel at the Department of Industry, Innovation, Climate Change, Science, Research and Tertiary Education (DIICCSRTE). The Program Manager is responsible for providing a coordinated and effective management service in accordance with contractual requirements and performance targets.
The role is initially offered on a fixed term contract from 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2014 subject to satisfactory performance and ongoing government funding. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
