Job Description
The Executive Assistant works closely with other members of the Ambassador’s Office, the Mission’s diplomats, and others.
Key Responsibilities
General Administrative Duties
- Drafting high quality correspondence
- Managing correspondence (receiving, logging, responding, forwarding)
- Assisting with scheduling meetings with multiple parties in-house and externally
- Recognizing and defusing evolving conflicts in the schedule
- Assisting with travel reservations
- Assisting in planning, organizing and recording internal meetings, briefings, seminars and events
- Effectively following up with multiple stakeholders on actions agreed in meetings

- Tenacity and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Experience working in a very diverse team
- Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and non-linear decision making processes
- Excellent command of the MS Office package
- Perfect business English (written and spoken)
- Modern Standard Arabic (written and spoken)
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Work experience supporting a senior executive
- Work experience at the UN or in another international organization
- Understanding of the UN and international relations
About the Organization
The Permanent Mission of the UAE has been an integral part of the UN community since the founding of the UAE in 1971. The Mission contributes to the important work of the United Nations at all levels.
The Mission can sponsor US work visa for qualified candidates.
However, applicants for this role should either already be New York based, or should be able to participate in a final round interview in New York without support from the Mission.
