Job Description
Dexis Consulting Group is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) advisor to provide expertise, guidance and advice concerning all security administrative functions on an as needed basis.
Possible tasks include but are not limited to:
- Guides and instructs current FSO on all matters relating to investigations
- Assist in developments of procedures to handle, store, keep records and grant personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials
- Review security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents and equipment
- Reviews all security paperwork for accuracy, completion and submission
- Guides and instructs FSO to ensure completion of security paperwork
- Provides follow-up clearance status on process clearances to management for specific contracts
- Review security policies/procedures and assist with internal inspections
- Advise on matters with the Defense Security Service (DSS) in filing necessary clearance paperwork for new employees and periodic reviews for current employees
- Advise on how to maintain security documentation and files in accordance with DSS requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience working with JPAS system
- Experience in the preparation of Form DD 254
- In-depth knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and experience with DSS
- Professional attitude, strong work ethic, the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
