DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supported by the ICT Operations Unit in The Hague, the Field ICT Assistant is responsible for operations and support of ICT equipment and systems in the field and being used by field operatives, including, but not limited to: local area networks, PCs, mobile phones, mobile satellite communications, 2-way radio, video conferencing systems, Voice system (traditional PBX or VoIP) and internet links. As the primary ICT contact in the field, the ICT Field Assistance will liaise on a daily basis with ICT providers and other organizations in the field for the delivery of services to ICC staff.

Core functions: 1 Installation and support of ICT equipment in the field offices, including but not limited to: Desktop PCs, printers, scanners and communications systems (mobile phones, desktop phones, and 2-way radios), etc. 2 Set-up, test, provisioning and support of ICT equipment for field operatives 3 Administration of small local area networks, based on Microsoft products, account creation 4 End-User ICT equipment provisioning and inventory control 5 Administration of ict maintenance contracts in the field 6 Assist on the receiving and inspection of ICT equipment sent to the field 7 Liaison with other organizations located in the same area of operations regarding ICT issues and activities 8 Other functions as required

Frequent traveling to other field offices might be required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Completion of secondary education, Microsoft and/or Cisco Network Certification or other network certification from any other recognized body highly desirable; 8 years experience in PC desktop support, telephony systems, wide and local area networks, including experience with common-carrier data networks; ability to communicate effectively and to deal with equipment vendors and carriers; be able to run diagnostic programs to locate malfunctions; knowledge of communication protocols, internet networks, port connections, wiring and cabling, and network fault and capacity management; - Good communication - Team working - Planning and organizing - Analytical Problem solving - Willingness to learn

KNOWLEDGE OF LANGUAGES Fluency in either of the working languages of the Court, English or French, is essential. Working knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court would be considered an asset. (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish)
