Job Description

Social Solutions International Inc. is seeking a Finance and Administration (F&A) Officer for an anticipated five-year USAID-funded grants management project in the Pacific Islands.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the financial management, accounting, and financial reporting of the project;
  • Establish and oversee internal control systems as well as accounting and financial reporting protocols;
  • Ensure that resources are appropriately allocated and tracked and that expenditures are in line with available funding;
  • Support the COP in liaising with home office staff on project matters;
  • Oversee payroll procedures for national staff, administer payroll, and monitor employee time keeping;
  • Maintain financial files and support annual audits;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 15 years of experience in financial and grants management at the operational, technical, and managerial levels;
  • A graduate degree in a relevant field such as accounting, business management;
  • Understanding of USAID rules and regulations as well as local laws;
  • At least 15 years of experience in accounting, auditing, grant and budgetary processes, financial management and donor reporting;
  • Proven ability to provide financial and managerial training and capacity building for a wide range of local and national level audiences;
  • Experience in identifying potential risks and mitigating strategies;
  • Good interpersonal/diplomatic skills and cultural/political sensitivity;
  • Strong English writing and communication skills.
