The Search for Common Ground Finance Team seeks to achieve excellence in financial management by providing accurate and timely financial information to Search management and programs and by adhering to established financial practices and accounting principles.
Team Summary
The Finance Team has responsibility for the consolidated financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, and overall accounting operations at Search for Common Ground. The finance process includes summarizing, analyzing and reporting these transactions to oversight agencies, regulators and tax collection entities; recording accounts, paying invoices, tracking assets and expenditures, managing payroll and keeping track of critical tax documents.
Position Summary
The Finance Intern will be responsible for the entry level tasks within the Lebanon country office, according to Search’s standards, and to support all financial aspects of program / project implementation along with ensuring compliance of all processes with both Search and donors’ regulations.
S/he will work under the direct supervision of the Finance Manager and in close coordination with Finance team, the Program team, People & Culture, and procurement department. The position will be based in Beirut.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing documents and liaison with other departments, processing invoices and payments on the accounting system, processing them through banks or other methods of payment, verifying that the invoices raised are in line with the contractual agreements and ensuring relevant tax deductions and remittance to Lebanon Revenue authorities are complete
Review of financial documents, ensure that required documents meet the standard documentation needed based on Search Internal policy and Donor rules and regulations.
Cooperate with the Logistics and Administration-HR-Program departments to ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and well documented.
Ensure financial accounting follows Search policies and procedures and local legal requirements (taxes, social security, insurance where applicable).
Ensure all documents are uploaded on the accounting system and on drive.
Support the finance officer with drafting transactions
Ensure proper filing and scanning of old and new documents
Support the Finance officer/Manager with cash management
Perform bank and BOB visits
Support FO in preparing NSSF and Income tax payments
Prepare and support the documentation during audit
Prepare and support in the preparation of the documentation as per donor request

Internship details:
From 29 October 2025 till February 2026, renewable for another two months, if new budget is received
Monday to Friday (from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm)
Internship Stipend: Net USD 250 per month
Education and Experience
Complete or in process Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, previous experience is a plus.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
6 working hours per day, with office attendance.
