Job Description

The Role

Objectives of the Role

The Financial Accountant will record and monitor all assigned financial transactions and journals, perform month-end closing tasks and assist with ad hoc financial accounting-related deliverables.

About You

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare various financial accounting reports within expected time frame
  • Prepare and post various month-end journals
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations for Asia Pacific and Australia entities
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets Register
  • Maintain the Lease Register in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Analyse and post intercompany invoices from and to other regions
  • Assist with intercompany reconciliation with other regions
  • Assist with any Philippines and Myanmar finance-related tasks
  • Assist with other general accounting tasks
  • Work with various teams on reconciliations, requests and key deliverables
  • Assist with interim and year-end audits
  • Identify, recommend and implement process improvement and automation opportunities
  • Undertake other duties as required.


Essential Experience and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
  • Minimum 3 years financial accounting experience
  • Strong attention to details
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to work collaboratively and autonomously as part of a broader, multicultural and diverse team.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
