Job Description

Main Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and edit high-quality written communications, including letters, reports, and investor materials, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in written French, producing well-structured, grammatically sound, and contextually appropriate documents.
  • Preparation of a consolidated and detailed investors tracking sheet for each Africa50 vehicles/initiative to support the team in its fundraising process.
  • Investor meeting support, including the generation of materials including presentations, portfolio updates, reports, agendas, bios, and any additional briefing documentation
  • Maintenance of LP data in the CRM, make sure information is accurate and all engagement activities are captured. Assistance backfilling information into the system.
  • Assist with the planning of roadshows, conferences, official visits, and Shareholders’ meetings, and preparing relevant documentation.
  • Market intelligence and research on key investors, target markets and the competitive landscape
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
  • Outstanding Academic Performance: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree and either have completed a Master’s degree or be in the final year of a Master’s program.
  • Essential Work Experience: Demonstrated practical experience is mandatory; acquired through internships or up to one year of post-graduation work.
  • Career Progression Opportunity: Proven ability and interest to transition into a full-time analyst role upon successful internship completion.
  • Bilingual Proficiency Required: Excellent communication skills in both French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proven experience in business writing, correspondence, and formal communication, particularly in French.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, particularly for government stakeholders, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and effectiveness in official documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Work or academic experience with the following: Interest in investment Management, Marketing, Private Equity, Infrastructure, Investor Relations.
  • Strong relationship to Africa - whether it be origin or a demonstrated long-term interest/commitment.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexibility regarding hours.
