Amentum / Macfadden is seeking an Office of Global Policy, Partnerships, Programs and Communications (G3PC) Geographic Information Officer to support USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) in Washington, DC.
Position Summary
The G3PC Geographic Information Officer supports the Office of Global Policy, Partnerships, Programs and Communications (G3PC) within USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (USAID/BHA). BHA leads and coordinates the U.S. Government’s humanitarian assistance efforts overseas in response to natural disasters and protracted crises. The Bureau also supports early recovery efforts that restore and protect basic systems and services and invests in risk reduction programs that prevent or reduce risks associated with chronic and recurrent hazards.
The G3PC Geographic Information Officer is part of the office’s Humanitarian Information Team (HIT). This position will produce internal and public-facing maps, GIS analysis, geographic data support, and subject matter expertise. As part of the HIT, the Geographic Information Officer will be embedded within the G3PC Strategic Communications and Humanitarian Information (SCHI) Division, with day-to-day work assignments and oversight provided by the HIT GIO Manager, with additional guidance from HIT leadership. Formal supervisory and evaluation functions are performed by a Macfadden contract supervisor.
