The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has risen for a Global Data Protection Manager. This will be a 12 months FTC role with possible extension based at Save the Children International in London. It is an exciting time to join the team as the organisation is going through a great period of growth and transformation.
In this role, the manager will be responsible for overseeing and driving the implementation of the Global Data Protection Model across the organisation thereby ensuring that we meet our obligations under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA2018).
The role holder will also be the primary contact point for our regional and country offices, senior management and key stakeholder on privacy matters, advising and ensuring that they are regularly updated on all important matters concerning data protection. Ensure that any changes in the law and getting guidance on all matters relating to data protection will need to change according to updating the policies, procedures and communicated properly across the organisation. This person will also manage the delivery of DP awareness communications and mandatory online DP training and escalate any potential risks and issues in respect to processing data across the business. Be a champion in identifying risks and coordinate implementation of risk remediation measures. The role is not exhaustive of this description.
