Job Description

Key Expert 3: Good governance expert with preferably 5 years of previous professional experience in delivering governance programmes, including anti-bribery, corporate governance and good governance guidelines.

EBRD project title: Improving Governance and Investment Climate in Moldova - Building the Capacity of Business Associations. Planned duration of project - 24 month. Expected start date - February/March 2016.

The general services within the project:

  1. Enhance the capacity and improve the performance of Moldovan business associations:

- Conduct needs assessment regarding organisational capacity of business associations in Moldova, including selection of business associations, analysis of the business environment and business support infrastructure;

- Design and delivery of a series of training workshops to build management capacity of business associations, including on the following areas: i) training curricula and manual with global best practice and recommendations for business associations;ii) developing a best practice business model including management reform, organisational strategy and goal setting; iii) supporting existing members and improving/diversifying member services including providing advocacy services, value added services (training SMEs on business fundamentals, financial management, marketing strategy, HR, business planning);

  1. Improve the role of business associations in promoting good governance in the private sector in Moldova:

- Design and delivery of training to business associations on anti-bribery measures and good governance guidelines;

- Disseminate good corporate governance standards among the members of selected business associations and support; and

- Ensure the visibility of the project through dissemination of information and preparation of communication products on the Assignment through media outlets (social media, media briefings)

  1. Develop a Monitoring and Evaluation Plan to measure the performance of selected business associations during the Assignment

- Assess progress of business associations in applying skills from the training workshops and impact of setting standards
