About the Organization
Albany works with people and communities in some of the toughest and complex places in the world.
Our philosophy is that robust two-way communications provide the primary mechanism for solving problems and building resilience to social, economic and political shocks. Animating civil society, or the public space between the state, market, community and family, has become central to our method of work. We work closely with our local partners to build grassroots resilience to the drivers of crisis and conflict and to find home-grown solutions to the problems that cause them.
Albany works primarily for UK and US Government departments and for international organisations such as the UN, the AU, UNESCO, UNDP and the EC - and for government aid agencies such as USAID. We have a head office in London and representative offices in Washington D.C. and Nairobi, and have been implementing comprehensive communications campaigns and projects around the world since 2004.
