Job Description Summary:
The Head of Internal Audit at SPBD Microfinance will lead and manage the internal audit team, ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies, and alignment with regulatory requirements. This hands-on role involves developing audit programs, evaluating risk assessments, and preparing work plans, while providing guidance on internal control improvements and mitigating risks. The position requires regular reporting to the Board’s Audit Committee and collaboration with management, external auditors, and government entities.
The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of auditing experience, with strong knowledge of microfinance and financial management, as well as a Master’s degree or equivalent in accounting or finance. This role demands high integrity, the ability to communicate effectively, and a willingness to travel frequently, with the position based in Suva, Fiji.
