DRC began its operations in Yemen in Aden in 2008, primarily to respond to the needs of migrants in the country. Today, DRC is able to meet the urgent needs of those affected by the conflict across the country through the delivery of fast-paced and high-quality emergency response, alongside longer-term programming.
Overall, Purpose of the role:The HR Intern will support the Human Resources Officers in the field (Hodeida/Hajjah Office) in the day-to-day implementation of HR operations, with a particular focus on supporting the casual worker management process. The role contributes to ensuring accurate documentation, timely coordination, and smooth completing of HR activities at the field level.
The HR Intern will assist with recruitment and selection support, maintenance of personnel records, onboarding processes, leave tracking, and responding to routine HR-related inquiries under the supervision of the HR Officer. A key part of the role will involve supporting the administration and tracking of casual worker contracts and related documentation, in close coordination with program and support departments.
The position offers practical hands-on learning opportunities across core HR functions in humanitarian context., including recruitment processes, HR administration, compliance, and staff support. The HR Intern will gain practical experience in applying HR policies, procedures, and systems while contributing to effective and compliant HR service delivery in the field.

Required qualifications: Education: Essential Qualification :DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until June 30, 2026, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work as soon as possible and be willing and able to work in Hodeida.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council9s National Terms of Employment. This position will be placed at Band (NMK) and will report to the Support Service Manager(SSM) 6 North.
