This position is primarily responsible for managing all domestic recruitment for the ACDI/VOCA headquarters office in Washington, DC. Additionally, this position will also support other functions of the human resources department as necessary.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain positive internal and external relationships. Represents ACDI/VOCA at recruitment events. Manage and serve as an expert for ACDI/VOCA domestic recruitment for headquarters office to include updating job descriptions, creating postings for open opportunities, posting opportunities on job boards, sourcing and screening resumes, interviewing candidates, conducting reference and education verifications, providing compensation recommendations, negotiating offers, and preparing confirmation letters.
Manage traditional and nontraditional resources, such as University Career Fairs, virtual career fairs and university visits including liaising with career development centers to identify and attract quality candidates. Manage processes for tracking recruitment activities including sourcing, advertising, interviewing, and offers. Provide input regarding recruitment budget. Manage training hiring managers on our recruitment processes and utilizing our applicant tracking system. Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs.
Responsible for the management of the Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS) and the content of the recruitment section of the ACDI/VOCA website. Assist in the visa process for headquarters employees; assist the General Counsel and visa processing vendor regarding visa matters. This includes tracking, maintaining files, submitting documents and following up. Manage HR metrics via Power BI. Maintain turnover, EEO, and AAP reports. Create other reports through the HRMS. Manage and lead new hire and benefits orientation of HQ employees and ensure completion of all HR related onboarding tasks associated with new hires. Responsible for E-Verify and I-9 processing.
Participate in salary and benefits surveys, as required. Responsible for tracking changes to federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. Interpret laws and organization HR policies and procedures. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures and advise on needed actions.
Work closely with Director of Human Resources for filing government compliance reports such as EEO-1, VETS-4212 and VETS100A, and AAP. Conduct new hire check-in process for employees after their first 45 days. Manage tracking and reporting on costs of recruiting. Recommend new recruitment venues based on data. Cross-train within the department to provide support in HRMS data entry, benefits enrollment, new hire enrollment, terminations, etc. Serve as back-up for HR Coordinator. Under the direction of SVP of Human Resources, aid in compensation analysis for our annual performance review process.
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources and the SVP of Human Resources,provide support, conduct research, and assist in special projects. Maintain files for the department, including personnel files. Assist with inventory and updates to all onboarding forms. Ensure easily accessible via SharePoint site. Contribute to the production and maintenance of HR manuals and other documents. Responds to requests from employees and advises on policy questions.
