Human Resources Manager, Partner Solutions HR

The HR Manager is a member of a growing team of HR consultants who provide expertise-based services to a suite of non-profit organizations with whom Arabella works. In this role, you will handle employee relations, provide support in the creation and update of policies, and address a high volume of HR inquiries for Arabella’s nonprofit clients. This role is ideal for an HR professional who is comfortable navigating through conflict resolution, customer and employee facing interactions. This is a full-time position reporting to the Associate Director (AD) of HR.

Essential Responsibilities

Provides exceptional daily service to client staff, communicating quickly, effectively and efficiently

Manage a variety of staffing and employee relations situations, such as rapid or planned growth, restructuring, reductions in force, terminations, performance management, conflict resolution, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Own complex client HR engagements. Provide coaching, guidance, and strategic leadership to executives and managers as a trusted partner and liaise with client contacts and internal account managers.

Maintain employee confidence and protect confidentiality of personnel data.

Support the research, drafting, and update of HR policies, ensuring our practices stay up to date with changing federal, multi-state, and local laws and regulations, and ensuring employees adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Maintain and deploy working knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and benefit plans, and provide guidance and interpretation on HR policies to internal stakeholders and clients.

Respond in an accurate and timely manner to all client-facing inquiries assigned via the Case Management system.

Other Responsibilities

Support triage, tracking, case response, and assignment for case logging system to provide exceptional daily service to client staff.

Work cooperatively with various team members to ensure implementation and management of internal processes designed for regulatory compliance.

Troubleshoot issues and solve problems independently or escalate when necessary.

To Be Successful in This Role, You’ll Need:

3+ years of Employee Relations and employee facing experience. Workplace investigation experience preferred.

Working knowledge of multi-state employment laws.

Experience in professional services environment, PEO or similar highly desired. Strong client service and interpersonal skills such as tact and diplomacy required.

Outstanding organization and prioritization skills - ability to manage multiple demands, projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Salesforce, UKG, and Excel preferred.

Strong research skills.

Ability to think critically.

Highly effective at communicating analysis, recommendations, and conclusions.

Ability to draft high-quality correspondence and written materials.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service mentality and high degree of integrity, accountability, and emotional intelligence.

Optimism and adaptability.

Experience in a progressive, mission-driven, and entrepreneurial environment.

Passion for philanthropy, nonprofits, or foundation operations.

While this position can be hybrid in Durham, NC; Washington, DC; San Francisco, CA; New York, NY, please note that all Arabella Advisors’ offices have reopened, and we work in a hybrid environment.

Total Rewards (compensation and benefits) 

This is a full-time position. We offer a competitive and holistic total rewards package that includes salary, bonus, and benefits. Our compensation ranges are based on national compensation benchmarks for similar organizations.   

The annual salary range for this position is $63,000 - $68,000, and this position has an annual bonus potential of 3%.

We consider national benchmark indicators along with job related skills, experience and relevant education and training, to determine compensation that is fair and competitive.   

All full-time staff are eligible for our generous benefits package on their first day of employment:
