Background
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are a priority sector in Tunisia in terms of economic development and innovation. ICT are a driving force towards further integration into the international marketplace through exports, foreign investments, business linkages and employment. Tunisia has a unique opportunity to bridge the digital divide with the developed world and to position itself as an ICT leader on the African continent.
Objective
To facilitate progress in this direction, the USAID-funded Business Reform and Competitiveness Project (BRCP)—implemented by the Pragma Corporation—plans to support a specific and focused ICT trade mission to Gabon that will include 10 to 15 Tunisian ICT partner enterprises travelling to Gabon for organized and focused B2B discussions. These partner enterprises will be given professional mentoring before departure as well as intensive, professional follow up afterwards.
Qualifications
The Pragma Corporation seeks an ICT marketing / business development expert based in Gabon, who will be hired on a short term basis, in order to help and support the Tunis-based BRCP Team and to act as their local contact. The Expert will be a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years of ICT marketing and business development expertise in the private sector with excellent knowledge of the local Gabonese market and with a local network within the ICT industry.
