Job Description

ABA ROLI seeks a short-term consultant with expertise and experience in ICT (information and communications technology), to support its judicial education program in Egypt, which is assisting the National Center for Judicial Studies (NCJS) to develop and modernize its curriculum. The position requires that the bulk of the work be performed in Egypt. Egyptian and international professionals/firms are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the supervision of ABA ROLI Egypt Program Director and/or Country Director to ensure all deliverables are in line with program goals and objectives;
  • Conduct a review of the NCJS’ ICT needs relevant to this objective in consultation and coordination with the NCJS;
  • Make recommendations and determine options for supporting electronic and online learning for the NCJS, in line with technical capacity and capabilities, considering online and offline options;
  • Provide technical support to the pilot and initial launch of e-modules for the NCJS;
  • Coordinate with ABA ROLI staff and Egyptian counterparts as necessary to complete the assignment on schedule in a timely manner;
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • At least ten years of experience in ICT; preferred if at least three years’ of experience in supporting electronic and online learning platforms;
  • Ability to work in a governmental context and coordinate with different types of actors;
  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to keep confidential sensitive information;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Professional fluency in English required; Arabic language also preferred.
