Functional responsibilities
The incumbent will report to the Information Management Officer in Information Management Data Analytics Unit (IMSDAU) in Guidance, Learning, Reporting section (GLRS) based in Geneva. The ICT Senior Officer - Systems Support will be responsible for consolidating the GMS support desk for end users and other stakeholders of Pooled fund processes. The ICT Senior Officer - Systems Support will also prepare online and onsite training packages to enable users to be aware of new developments and upgrades rolled out in the system.
The functional responsibilities include:Using the knowledge of country-based pooled fund allocation process provide support tofield users in addressing the queries from GMS system.
Analyze the work process and coordinate with the development team in our Agile SoftwareDevelopment (Scrum) process.
Evaluate and capture enhancements with new requirements from field Humanitarian fundteams to existing GMS product.
In coordination with the technical team, provide the preparation of information technologymanuals and documentation.
Develop functional designs, analyze and translate requirements into use cases for thedevelopment team. Also, closely involve in User acceptance testing to ensure the deliveredmodules are properly tested and bug-free.
Regularly conduct trainings for business users and GMS end users on existing and newlydeveloped modules.
Build wireframes to provide clear understanding to OCHA team on the new modules andquick decision making.
Keep the GMS user portal updated and improve the content with video tutorials as and whenrequired.
Education/Experience/Language requirements
a. Education
First level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) preferably in computer science, commerce, information systems, finance,management science and/or a related field is required;
Advanced university degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) is desirable and may substitute for some of the required years of experience.
b. Work Experience
Required
A minimum of four (4) years of increasingly diverse or complex experience in System technical support project management.
A minimum of one year of remote training experience for humanitarian systems and business processes.
Strong skills in preparing presentations and training packages using video tutorials and interactive guidance materials.
c. Desirable(the following experience is optional; candidates who do not have it are welcome to apply):
Experience in managing issue tracking systems like Trello or Jira to coordinate the service delivery processes.
Advance knowledge in data analysis using MS Excel or other similar products.
