IFC’s INFRA LAC department is seeking an intern as part of our Global Internship Program (GIP). The Global Internship Program (GIP) offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of IFC and the broader World Bank Group and become part of the largest private sector development institution in the world. The program encourages individuals to bring new perspectives and innovative ideas to IFC’s work, while improving skills in a diverse and highly stimulating environment. Moreover, the Global Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and network with international professionals dedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity in the developing world.
Duties and Accountabilities:
The candidate is required to know and effectively use fundamental business concepts and practices and to provide analytical, research and other professional support to the team as well as to lead one project. The work program is varied and may be somewhat complex requiring evaluation, original thinking and various written outputs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Create and analyze financial models; demonstrated project finance modeling experience will be a plus.
• Participate and support in the structuring of new transactions.
• Review and analyze historical and projected financial statements.
• Conduct industry and market research and assist in IFC’s business development efforts.
• Elaborate pitchbooks and proposals for clients.
• Prepare documentation for IFC internal processes.
• Participate and provide analytical support in investments negotiations.
Selection Criteria
• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree level program
• Preferred field of study: Masters in Business Administration
• Minimum of 2 years of previous work experience
• Previous experience in Infrastructure and finance is required
• Financial modeling skills are required
