The Air Navigation Bureau (ANB) in ICAO provides technical guidance to the Air Navigation Commission (ANC), the Council, and the Assembly.
ANB delivers technical expertise in aviation-related disciplines to States, industry, and all elements of ICAO.
ANB’s work programme is distributed across Air Navigation Capacity and Efficiency (AN), Aviation Safety (SAF), and Monitoring and Oversight (MO).
SAF and AN maintain and implement the Global Aviation Safety Plan (GASP) and Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP), and produce annual safety and air navigation status reports.
ANB develops technical studies and proposals for Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and Procedures for Air Navigation Services (PANS), along with related guidance materials.
The Implementation Support Planning and Coordination Section (ISPC) manages and coordinates implementation support activities, supports regional offices in capacity-building projects, and oversees voluntary contributions and donor support.
The intern reports directly to the Chief of ISPC (C/ISPC) and receives guidance from ISPC staff.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and implementation of a dedicated implementation support platform (MS SharePoint).
Support development of information and recommendations for project plans, peer review reports, and project document preparation.
Assist in the identification and monitoring of key performance indicators for implementation support activities.
Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings.
Support the development and implementation of internal promotion activities.
Assist in preparing outreach materials to communicate results.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education
Enrolled at least in the first year of university or equivalent institution toward a degree (minimum Bachelor’s level) in aviation, law, science, engineering, diplomacy, or related field.
Work Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
Practical experience with collaborative documentation tools or work management platforms is desirable.
Knowledge of ICAO, its mandate, the aviation sector, or the United Nations system is desirable.
Practical experience in data processing, programming, and web design is desirable.
Languages
Essential: Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Desirable: Working knowledge of a second UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish).
Assessment
Evaluation may include an assessment exercise followed by a competency-based interview.
