The African Development Bank hereby invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in the following Assignment: Intergovernmental Engagement Expert in support of the Power Systems Solutions Department to ensure effective coordination and oversight of the Program
Project development and PPP project advisory are the Bank’s Knowledge- based Operations (KBOs) under the Bank’s PPP Framework. The Bank supports project development and provides advisory services to Governments and Private Sector that are seeking to introduce the participation and/or to partner with the private sector in projects through development, investment, ownership, management, operation, and maintenance of the Project by one or more private sector investors with established financial standing and experience in the efficient management, operation and maintenance of similar facilities in the sector of power generation.
The services to be provided under the assignment include substantive support to the Bank’s PESD.1 Team in their mandates including evaluating power infrastructure project proposals, offering project development support, preparing projects for financing, and assisting in their management throughout the project lifecycle.
The assignment duration is 180 working days over a period of twelve (12) months.
The AfDB invites individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above- described services. Interested individuals must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services through a) a CV; and b) a motivation letter that also refers to the relevant assignments undertaken / positions held that support the candidate’s submission, to be sent by e-mail to the addresses mentioned below.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s Rules and Procedures for the Use of Corporate Consultants on the following criteria based on the CVs and other documents received. Consultants should be national of one of the AfDB’s member countries.
Six shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit a technical and financial proposal for the assignment.
The Bank is under no obligation to shortlist any individual who expresses interest.
