We are currently recruiting an Information Management Officer to join our Global Accountability, Impact and Measurement (AIM) department, to be based remotely in France.

About the opportunity

Reporting into the Senior Director of AIM, the Information Management Officer (IMO) will be responsible for the maintenance of Relief International’s (RI’s) data management practices and processes.

This position will play a key role in supporting global, regional, and country staff, on advancing key information management policies and practices.

The IMO will collaborate with regional and country Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) staff, to ensure high-quality data is being collected, inputted, analyzed, and visualized, by ensuring MEAL information management systems and practices are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

· Become a subject-matter expert on RI’s internal MEAL system LogAlto; ensuring entry of all relevant project data, including logframes, indicator data, and other reporting requirements.

· Train and maintain capacity of regional and country staff on using LogAlto and other data management and visualization systems.

· Be primary administrator of LogAlto, including managing user lists, monitoring sign-ins and staff usage, and performing periodic data quality checks.

· Lead on routine and ad-hoc data collection process of programmatic indicators, qualitative benchmarks, and audit requests from country offices, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, through LogAlto or Excel.

· Ownership of routine data visualization and analysis of programmatic indicators.

· Upload, analyze, and visualize collected data in LogAlto, PowerBI, and/or other third-party data systems.

· In collaboration with global and regional MEAL, conduct quality assurance checks on country MEAL data systems.

· Build and monitor capacity of countries on issues related to data integrity and data protection.

· Support non-MEAL staff on data processing and data analysis functions.

· Participate in internal Information Systems Working Group, to ensure tasks stay aligned with broader data and IS policies.

About you

· Proven experience of working on Management Information Systems (MIS); developing relational databases. Experience with different system API linkages helpful.

· Technical degree relating to MIS and/or database management, software development, research, social science, or statistics, OR transferable experience.

· Good track record of working on MEAL systems, including MEAL structure and general work flow.

· Experience with PowerBI, and related visualization platforms.

· Advanced computer skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel, including experience with pivot tables, database design, and visualization.

· Excellent English skills – for trainings, communication, and presentation on technical topics.

· Experience in facilitation and training of diverse groups with varying capacity and skill sets.

· Theoretical and educational background on MIS/GIS and mapping for humanitarian/development work helpful.

· Ability to travel to RI field offices, up to 5-10% of the time as necessary.
