Initiatives Assistant
Salary: from £29,935- £33,104 per annum with the potential to progress to £35,441 per annum including London allowance.
The Initiatives Assistant, is responsible for supporting the administration, event and meeting organisation, project management, and other logistics underlying IGC initiatives activities at both national and global levels. Based in London, the Initiatives Assistant will work closely with members of the three initiatives, as well as other IGC Hub teams. Responsibilities include:
• Responding to requests, scheduling meetings and group calls, and following up on actions.
• Maintaining good quality data on projects, impact, and researcher rosters, as well as organising shared folders on OneDrive.
• Support on reporting, drafting meeting and event summaries, and quartlerly updates.
• Assist with event organising, including invitations, booking travel and accommodation and preparing event materials.
The successful applicants will have:
• Proven ability to plan and manage administrative activities and processes; demonstrated initiative and sound judgment.
• Ability to respond quickly, independently, and appropriately to managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong ability communicate professionally and effectively to senior people via email and phone.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and preferably some experience using Salesforce.
• Dynamic approach and able to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
• Educated to degree level.
This is a full-time open-ended appointment until 30 September 2026, subject to funding. It is based at the IGC Head Office within LSE, London. We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent training and development opportunities.
