Job Description

Overview & Responsibilities

The IDLO Department of Programmes is the central management and coordinating function for programme development, delivery and capacity development. It is responsible for the implementation of IDLO’s global programme portfolio for field and non-field locations in line with the institutional strategy.

The Office of the Programmes Department (OPD) is an essential enabler for departmental coordination, knowledge management and learning. It proposes and consolidates procedures and policies to support programme implementation, organizes internal progress reporting, and builds institutional awareness about programme activities.

Under the supervision of the Programme Support Manager the intern will perform the following duties that fall within the Office of the Programmes Department:

Administrative and logistics support to the Programmes Department:

  • Assist with proofreading, editing and formatting departmental documentation, including internal and external reporting, notes and communications;
  • Assist in the uploading and maintenance of the departmental Notes to File repository and other departmental document repositories;
  • Assist with institutional SPPU initiatives, incl. programmes PACC calendar updates and coordination of memberships to SPPU Clusters;

Information management within the Programmes Department and with Country Offices:

  • Support in the input of Programme data into SharePoint and Intranet; Participate in the archiving and organization of programme-related data and materials;
  • Perform other appropriate duties as required by the supervisor.
Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • A degree in Law, International Relations, Development Studies, Political Science or other relevant field.
  • Relevant work experience in programme or project management, research or broad development work.

Languages:

  • Fluent oral and professional writing skills in English a must.

Terms & Conditions

IDLO provides all full-time interns with a monthly stipend of €600. Internships are offered for 3 months and are renewable up to a maximum of 6 months. Full-time placements (5 days a week) are strongly preferred. Applicants available for less than 5 days a week will not be considered.
