Private Sector Infrastructure Finance in the Philippines and East Asia

2. Summary of Job Description

PSOD is looking for an intern to support the Private Sector Infrastructure Team in the due diligence process.

The Intern will

• Assist in due diligence for financing of two proposed private sector infrastructure projects in the power, water and/or circular economy sectors, located in the Philippines, PRC, and/or Mongolia.
• Support a sector analysis as well as an economic, financial, technological, and sponsor evaluation of each project.
• The assignment may include business travel to the PRC or Mongolia for 3 days.

3. Period of Assignment

Duration: 11 weeks

Timing: August 2026 onwards

4. Location

ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines

5. Expected Outcomes

The Intern will be a member of a due diligence team in ADB’s Private Sector Infrastructure Finance Division, and his/her output includes specific sections of the final due diligence report used for financing power, water, decarbonization, and/or circular economy projects, as well as a short presentation of his/her findings.

Qualifications

6. Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program or PhD in finance or related fields.

7. Relevant Experience and Other Requirements

• Preferably with 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in a financial institution, or infrastructure project sponsor.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
