The Country Office is now seeking to select Interns for Cohort 3, 2026, for an eight-month programme with opportunities in both Field Offices and the Nairobi Office. For Field Office placements, priority will be given to candidates from the surrounding local communities to enhance impact.
Applicants must be Kenyan nationals, recent graduates, and residents of Kenya. Candidates placed in field locations will be responsible for arranging their own accommodation near the respective duty stations. Proficiency in the local language is required for this role to ensure effective communication with stakeholders.

Intern - Programme Data and Coordination, Lodwar
The intern will serve as a central pillar for data discipline and coordination efficiency, ensuring the seamless consolidation of programme information and routine reporting. Acting in a neutral support capacity, they will be responsible for maintaining standardized trackers and optimizing information flows to harmonize efforts across various technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Data Consolidation and Management
Maintain and update master programme and hub-level trackers.
Support the CP staff in consolidating M&E systems for all WFP funded programmes.
Consolidate partner reports into standardized formats.
Ensure version control and proper filing of datasets and reports.
Maintain an organized digital repository of programme data and documentation.
Data Quality and Consistency Support
Conduct basic data hygiene checks including completeness, internal consistency, and missing fields
Flag inconsistencies and data gaps to the UNV M&E Specialist and Programme team for follow-up
Support routine validation of figures used in programme briefs and updates
Reporting and Knowledge Management Support
Support preparation of monthly field office programme briefs
Extract verified data for internal updates, donor briefs, and ad-hoc information requests
Maintain records of meeting minutes, action points, and follow-up matrices
Coordination and Information Flow
Track programme action points and deadlines across hubs and partners
Support scheduling and documentation of coordination meetings
With guidance from the HOFO serve as a focal support for routine data and information requests from the Country Office
Expected Outcomes:
Programme data management in a humanitarian and development context
Partner-led implementation coordination.
Practical application of M&E systems in field operations
