Duties and Responsibilities
This position is located in the United Nations Information Centre in Prague (UNIC Prague), within the Information Centres Service (ICS), Campaigns and Country Operations Division, Department of Global Communications.
The UNIC Prague is the principal source of information about the United Nations system in Czech Republic. The Information centre is responsible for promoting public understanding and support for the aims and activities of the United Nations by disseminating UN information materials to a local audience in English and Czech; engaging local and regional partners; and, overall, bringing the United Nations closer to the people it serves.
The incumbent is under the direct supervision of the Head of Office. Internship is for three months with an opportunity for extension, pending on the needs of the department.
The intern will support the team in the administration and with strategic communication priorities. Duties may include but are not limited to:

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in spoken and written English is required. Fluency in spoken and written Czech is also required. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is desirable. Official languages are English, French, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, and Arabic.
