General Department of Administration Nature Conservation and Protection (GDNPA) of the Ministry of Environment (MoE) upon signing the Operational Partner Agreement with FAO on the 27th September 2021; is seeking a qualified candidate to fill two positions:
1- International Ecosystem Restoration and GIS Expert.
2- International Environmental Economics and Ecosystem Valuation Expert
Cambodia ‘s coastal fishing communities are amongst the most vulnerable, due largely to high dependence on natural resources, direct exposure to climate vectors (i.e. storms, sea level rise and changing rainfall), overall poverty, remoteness and marginalization. Women have even less adaptive options available to them, as traditionally they have less influence over the decision-making processes, including those related to climate adaptation. The project will build on baseline of existing policy, legal, and technical measures and investments and provide additional financing to generate effective adaptation models and establish support frameworks that empower vulnerable communities, as the anticipated challenges and costs to address them will increase with climate change.
