Job description
Rutgers leads the Right Here Right Now (RHRN) strategic partnership, comprising another 6 organizations. The main aim of this partnership is to strengthen the capacity of partners and to advocate towards governments responsible for law and policy development, budgeting and implementation in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people. RHRN operates in ten countries throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America and in the Caribbean. Youth participation and country ownership are crucial elements of the programme.
In each country, so-called Platforms have been set up of around 10-15 civil society organizations, one of them acting as host. Rutgers as lead organization, is responsible for administrating and sub granting to the 6 partners of the strategic partnership as well as to the host organizations of the country platforms in Asia and Africa. The programme supports the host organizations in the design and the implementation of the national grant management system.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Finance Officer (FO) for the RHRN strategic partnership with substantive experience in the international NGO sector. The FO will join Rutgers’ Finance team, which is based in The Netherlands (Utrecht). It is expected that the travel and visit to the countries will take up to 25-50% of your time.
Tasks
The FO has to ensure the quality of the national grant management systems of the partners in the African partner countries (Zimbabwe, Senegal, Kenya and Uganda) and in the Asian partner countries (Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia and Nepal). She/he is responsible for translating the grant management guidelines to an operational level in the countries and the alignment with the RHRN Audit Protocol.
The FO operates in close collaboration with the regional programme managers and under supervision of the Manager Finance & Control. The FO will support and strengthen the national platforms, especially the host organisations, in budget monitoring, re-granting processes and in financial reporting. The FO shall:

Terms of Employment
We offer an exciting and challenging position in an international working environment, with highly motivated and qualified colleagues. The position is for the duration of one year with the possibility to extend depending on funding. The Collective Labour Agreement for Mental Healthcare (CAO-GGZ) applies to this position. The salary, depending on knowledge and experience, amounts to a maximum of €4.287,= gross per month (FWG scale 60) based on a 36-hour week.
