Undergrads! It’s your time to SHINE. Are you curious about how engineering and science come together to solve real-world water challenges? This internship is your chance to experience the consulting world from the inside, learning from experts who care about creating a better, more resilient future for our waterways, catchments and communities.
Based in our Notting Hill office, you’ll join a team of engineers, scientists and planners working on projects that shape how water is managed across Australia. From flood studies and waterway restoration to stormwater design, flood modelling and catchment planning, you’ll get a front-row seat to see how ideas become technical solutions and how those solutions make a difference.
We’re looking for an undergraduate student (typically in their penultimate year) who:
In return, you’ll gain exposure to the consulting environment, learning how projects are scoped, delivered and managed for clients. You’ll work alongside supportive mentors who’ll guide you through technical tasks, project delivery and professional communication, helping you see what a career in consulting really looks like.
This is a hands-on learning opportunity. You’ll contribute to meaningful work, participate in project discussions, and be encouraged to ask questions and share ideas. Our goal is to help you build confidence, understand your strengths and develop the foundational skills that make a great consultant.
So, if you’re ready to put your studies into practice and start shaping your career in water resource management, we’d love to hear from you!
You may have met our team at career events, you’ll see we are a diverse team of people who love what we do. Some of the perks that Water Technology offer staff are:
