JOB OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION
POHL CONSULTING & ASSOCIATES is currently seeking an EU expert for a short term assignment in Jordan.
The objective of this project is to assist a Jordanian Company to improve its carpet weaving design capabilities by:
• Building the capacity and transferring the skills to the Company in the latest design and product innovations in the Carpets and the Rugs Industry. • Upgrading and developing the Company’s existing design capabilities. • Establishing a marketing function for the Company, including the development of a marketing strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be an EU passport holder. • University degree in industrial engineering or equivalent. • Minimum of 10 years of previous practical experience in carpet design. • Extensive experience in design improvement programmes in the carpet weaving manufacturing industries. • Minimum of 5 years experience in the design of carpets preferably for the Middle East. • Relevant working experience with SMEs both at providing advice, delivering and implementing technical assistance.
DURATION AND TIMING The assignment of the expert will be of 31 calendar days divided in three stages. The implementation will commence in January 2005 and end no later than July 2005.
