Job Description

USP seeks a Landscape Assessment Analyst consultant to perform work such as collecting, organizing, and analyzing data across the LATAM region and generating relevant outputs that feed into stakeholder discussions and scoring using the product prioritization tool. This
work will be supporting a donor-funded project aimed at increasing supply and demand for quality-assured essential medical products in Africa.

Roles and Responsibilities

The consultant will implement the following activities:

· Collect and validate data on:

o Regional disease burden (incidence, mortality, growth rate) for priority products.

o Regional market value and projected demand (public, private, and donor sources).

o Supply chain vulnerabilities, including import dependence, stockouts, and production gaps.

· Use and analyze data from specialized sources such as IQVIA, global procurement platforms, donor reports, and health commodity market reports as required.

· Support manufacturer survey development, launch and analysis (if we adopt this as part of our data collection methodology).

· Populate and score the product prioritization matrix using agreed methodology.

· Generate summary visuals and brief notes on product shortlisting outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

· Advanced degree in health economics, epidemiology, or data science.

· Demonstrated skills in quantitative analysis, modelling, and visualization (Excel, R, Stata, or Python).

· Experience with pharmaceutical or health systems data in LMICs/LatAm.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to present technical data clearly.

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in public health, global health, economics, pharmaceutical sciences, international development, or related field.

· Proven experience working with data analysis in global health, health economics, or pharmaceutical policy contexts.

· Strong proficiency in Tableau, Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, conditional formatting, etc.).

· Self-motivated and able to work independently across multiple workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

· Familiarity with Power BI or R/Python is an asset.

The anticipated period of performance will be October 2025 – January 2026
