Logistics and Warehouse Manager – QA/QC
Job Description:
Project HOPE is seeking candidates for a Logistics and Warehouse Manager for an anticipated five-year, global award that will focus on quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) within the health commodity supply chain. Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project.
Position Summary:
The Logistics and Warehouse Manager is responsible for the coordination of all duties performed by the Distribution Department, including shipping, receiving, storage, packaging and control of inventory. They will maintain compliance with regulatory agencies while developing and implementing effective regional end-to-end logistics strategies and procedures to process, and effectively monitor distribution, of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical commodities. They will implement end-to-end supply chain methodologies to ensure product visibility throughout the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- · Responsible for applicable regulations, documentation, insurance, packing, cost-efficient transport and transport modalities of supplies
- · Responsible for inventory including all receipt and issue transactions. Assure accuracy of all documentation. Account for inventory accuracy through monthly cycle count and annual physical inventory
- · Responsible for supervision of all logistics and warehouse personnel
- · Provides input to annual budget for all logistics and warehouse operations
- · Establishes, institutes and enforces all procedures and policies for the Distribution Center, in compliance with program guidelines
- · Develops and implements training, supervision and monitoring plan to ensure that logistics policies and procedures are adhere to by staff
- · Makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
- · Backstops Disaster Response teams
- · Conducts assessments and creates implementation plans for Disaster Response projects
- · Assures appropriate use of logistics resources for all activities
Requirements:
- · BA or BS degree (Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field)
- · Minimum 5 years international work experience.
- · 10 years logistics and warehouse experience
- · Knowledge of cold chain management
- · Knowledge of medical supplies, health commodities and equipment
- · Must be able to meet Drug Enforcement Agency requirements for personnel responsible for controlled substances.
- · Working knowledge of import and export documentation and regulations
