The Department
The Economic and Risk Analysis Department is responsible for theoretical and empirical work underpinning EBA’s output in key areas of responsibility. Under the leadership of the Director of the department are three units focusing on economic analysis, impact assessment, risk analysis, stress testing and ESG risk analysis. The department’s output includes development and maintenance of the EBA’s analytical infrastructure, coordination of the EBA stress-test exercises, preparation of analytical impact assessments on the EBA regulatory products, drafting of regular risk assessment reports and leading the EBA’s work in the area of ESG analysis and policy. The department also organises policy research seminars and workshops and manages the EBA’s Staff Paper Series (SPS).
Main purpose
As member of staff in the Economic and Risk Analysis Department, the Macro-financial Analysts will play a key role in strengthening the analytical underpinnings of the EBA’s work and in enhancing the economic and statistical quality and contents of key EBA products. Experience is particularly sought in macro-financial and banking sector analysis, in general theoretical and empirical analysis feeding into the EBA’s work (both regular and thematic), impact assessment and risk analysis as well as in contributing to the EBA’s regular publications and SPS.

To be eligible, a candidate must have a level of education, which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.
Candidates must indicate in their applications the official duration of studies and the graduation dates for all the diplomas they have obtained.

Contract type, duration and starting date:
The successful candidate will be offered a contract agent fixed-term contract of three years with a probation period of nine months and the possibility of extension.
The estimated starting date is 1 September 2022.
Function group and grade:
The successful candidates shall be recruited as a contract agent in function group IV. The estimated monthly basic salary is from € 3,623.54.
Example: A contract agent with professional experience of less than 5 years (recruited in function group IV, grade 13, step 1), marital status - single, entitled to expatriation allowance earns an estimated monthly net salary of € 4,229.58.
