Key Result Areas:
➢ To lead the development, enhancement and maintenance of an integrated performance management system at QF and its entities, outlining the principles and means of how performance will be collected, reported and assessed at all levels
➢ Manage an annual performance cycle, including reporting of performance at all levels in QF, both KPIs and broader performance information
➢ Support joint review of entities’ business plans with Strategy & Planning Business Partners and provide relevant feedback, suggested improvements
➢ Develop and oversee a performance reporting process by all QF entities, which sees reports submitted on time and with data that is accurate and validated
➢ Prepare aggregated reports to the QF Board and senior management according to an annual schedule (e.g. quarterly to senior management and semi-annual to Board)
➢ Develop a system to maintain a comprehensive set of performance data for all QF entities, that has clear definitions, been subject to robust validation and leverages single source and automation where possible
➢ Ensure that QF and all of its entities have a set of KPIs for each strategic objective, that help generate a high degree of strategic focus, accountability and transparency
➢ Implement and enhance a process whereby targets are set at all levels of the organization, in a manner which is robust and reflective of the longer-term ambitions of the Foundation
➢ Develop, maintain and enhance a process where performance is systemically reviewed at all levels in the Foundation, including review and approval of targets and incorporating means by which independent input from SID can be provided
➢ Conduct and coordinate analysis of performance at QF and entity levels and develop recommendations that can be shared with senior management to enhance QF performance and impact
➢ Recommend, design and manage ad-hoc analysis and impact studies to provide deeper insight into QF impact, including recommendations on how to enhance QF impact
➢Engage and build the capacity of focal points and leaders across QF entities, enhancing relationships and establishing a common paradigm, vernacular and approach for impact-based performance management
➢ Work with the Human Capital department to explore and establish mechanisms that can align corporate and individual performance, helping provide a clear line-of sight of individual staff to corporate objectives and providing a means by which corporate performance reporting and assessment can inform distribution of staff performance ratings
➢ Maintain a common set of benchmark information for key performance metrics, with sources clearly referenced and updated regularly
➢ Monitor and document national development indicators to inform QF analysis of national needs and monitor QF’s contribution to national development
➢ Explore new best practices on measurement and assessment of impact, including economic impact and implement mechanisms where information on QF impact can be provided as input into QF’s communications
➢ Plan and implement initiatives that can help build an enhanced performance culture across the Foundation, which strives for excellence and employs an open and transparent dialogue to discuss performance
➢ Other reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Operating Environment, Framework & Boundaries:
➢ The majority of work is carried out in a multicultural, multinational office-based environment
➢ Adherence to QF policies and procedures is required
Communications and Working Relationships:
➢ Director, Strategy & Impact – frequent communication for guidance, advice and approvals
➢ Strategy & Planning Team – daily interaction for coordination of activities
➢ internal and external organizations and bodies – regular communication as required to achieve the KRAs
➢ Interfaces with all levels of personnel inside QF and its centres and in external organizations, particularly performance focal points across Divisions
