Job Description

Heifer Int?l, a sustainable development, non-profit, world hunger org, is in search of a candidate to manage its office operations in Washington D.C. Duties: supervise office admin staff; represent Heifer at significant meetings rel to Heifer?s strategic priorities & fundraising efforts; develop & maintain institutional relationships in D.C. & in all areas of Heifer?s op?s; assist the VP of Advocacy in developing & implementing org strategic plan; work w/key staff to id & cultivate funding opportunities from private/public sources. The ideal candidate will have knowledge & understanding of institutions related to Int?l development in the D.C. area. Also, must be able to communicate & make presentations to large & small groups. BA degree in rel area + 7 yrs rel exp req?d. At least 2 yrs living & working in a developing country, w/significant exp across several geographic areas where Heifer works. Fluency in English is req?d & ability to speak second language, preferably Spanish is pref?d. Must have exp w/representation at sr org & governmental levels, as well as exp w/policy & advocacy work.
