Emerging Markets Group (EMG) is seeking candidates for a Maternal Child Health (MCH) Advisor position for an upcoming USAID-funded technical assistance project in India. The project will provide an integrated approach to achieving quality service delivery in family planning, maternal health, neonatal and child health with a focus on Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and the national level of India. HIV/AIDS may be incorporated within the project as it integrates with maternal child health and family planning services.
The MCH Advisor shall:
Provide the overall strategic framework, technical support, guidance and leadership for maternal and child health and related activities to achieve quality services delivery
Provide technical support and supervision including designing strategies to increase the role and involvement men in MCH and RH/FP services
Provide continuous assessment of the links between MCH services and HIV/AIDS to ensure women and their exposed or infected children have access to care and treatment
Provide overall guidance at both state and district levels in developing MCH strategic and operational plans
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in medicine, nursing or midwifery, MPH, DrPH or related discipline
5+ years experience in the development and implementation of MCH and/or HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs required
Strong management, supervision, and program planning skills required
Proven ability to develop program proposals and protocols a must
Knowledge of USAID operations, programming, and structure
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Fluency in English required
