Job Description

In the context of the health crisis of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Guyana mission adapted its program to respond urgently to the health needs of the most vulnerable populations on the territory of the island of Cayenne. The emergency program is divided into 3 main activities:

  • Mobile health teams in informal settlements
  • Prevention and information campaigns in squats and informal settlements
  • Support and guidance on access to rights and care
  • Social and health watch, advocacy

To cope with this situation, the territory benefited from reinforcements from the health reserve. 70 people were deployed, including 20 people divided into 3 teams dedicated to screening. In parallel, the French Red Cross (CRF) is also setting up a screening team and a follow-up and support team, which will take over from the teams in the health reserve. However, the deployment of these screening teams requires support in the field, and leads to an increased need for health mediators.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the hierarchical responsibility of the general coordinator and under the functional responsibility of the mission managers (RM - volunteer executives), you ensure the proper implementation of the mediation activity within the mobile health teams, screening and monitoring / support. You manage this part of the program in the relational, technical and budgetary dimensions.

Project management

  • Participate in the development and adaptation of screening activities
  • Supervise and monitor activities, inform and alert on progress
  • Organize follow-up meetings and exchange workshops
  • Create the tools and supports necessary for activities
  • Carry out regular reporting of activities
  • Write project documents (internal and donors) related to screening activities
  • Ensure data collection, participate in their analysis and monitoring of indicators
  • Carry out and manage activity evaluations
  • Ensure legal and contextual monitoring

Logistics and administrative management

  • Carry out budget monitoring and participate in budget construction
  • Carry out logistics monitoring
  • Raise awareness of the team on hygiene protocols and ensure that they are respected
  • Provide security supervision

Team management

  • Supervise and lead the project team
  • Coordinate health mediators within mobile health teams, screening and monitoring / support

Representation and coordination

  • Represent the project with partners and authorities
  • Coordinate with municipalities to ensure the deployment of teams and the proper implementation of screening activities
  • Coordinate with partners involved in screening activities

EMPLOYMENT CONDITION Employee Fixed-term contract 0 3 months

Position to be filled as soon as possible
Gross monthly salary of 2574 euros
Position status:
Mutual employee (participation at 60% of MdM and 40% of the employee)
22.5 RTT / year
5 weeks of paid vacation / year
Restaurant tickets worth 8 , 50 euros (participation up to 60% of MdM)
Exceptional installation premium corresponding to one month’s gross monthly salary for anyone not resident on site
Monthly “expensive” bonus of 10% of monthly gross salary
Oral communication face-to-face or by phone
Work on screen / in open-space (XX people)
