Job Description

The East-West Management Institute (EWMI) is seeking a Net-Map analysis expert for its Civic Engagement Project (CEP) in Macedonia, a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). CEP supports Macedonian civil society by strengthening the influence of civil society organizations (CSOs) and CSO alliances and sustained youth engagement.

EWMI plans to conduct a Net-Map analysis of two of its CSO alliance grantees as an in-depth analysis of the CSO alliance’s inner workings and processes. The Net-Map analysis will look at the following aspects of CSO alliances: Mutuality/Reciprocity; Degree Centrality (density); Close Centrality; Influence; and Positive Relationships.

The Expert should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience conducting capacity assessments for CSOs and other institutions in the context of international development programs;
  • Very good understanding of the CSO sector and its capacity development needs in countries in transition to democracy;
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with experience as a trainer/mentor preferred;
  • Very strong writing and presentation skills in English;
  • Graduate level degree in social sciences, or related fields.
