Job Description

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is a global public/private partnership dedicated to raising and disbursing large amounts of additional finance to prevent and treat the three pandemics. The Global Fund has so far committed more than US$15 billion to over 740 programs in 140 countries.

The vacancy is in the Secretariat of the Global Fund, which is located in Geneva, Switzerland.

Role Summary & Key results expected

The Oracle EBS Business Analyst will be a member of the IT Business Analyst Office reporting to the IT Senior Business Officer.

He/she will act as liaise between the technical implementation teams and the internal business functions using the Global Fund Oracle EBS solution.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The Oracle EBS Business Analyst will:

  • 1. Drive projects from initiation to final rollout working closely with the business to fulfill their functional IT needs;
  • 2. Facilitate the definition of business processes and related IT requirements in respective functional area together with business stakeholders;
  • 3. Perform gap analysis to existing Oracle EBS based solution and recommend ways of addressing these gaps;
  • 4. Document functional design of the solution to meet business requirements;
  • 5. Prepare and conduct Conference Room Pilot (CRP) workshops to manage business expectations and gain sign-off on proposed solution;
  • 6. Configure/oversee the configuration of the requirements to meet the business needs;
  • 7. Act as a focal point for RICEFW (customized developments for Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms and Workflow) definition, design, development, and testing working closely with the technical implementation teams;
  • 8. Plan and lead User Acceptance Test efforts with aim of achieving business sign-off for final solution;
  • 9. Coordinate the rollout of solutions by contributing to communication, training and post go-live support activities;
  • 10. Coordinate work and build relationships with external implementation partners;
  • 11. Other activities as may be required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications and Membership

Essential:

  • Advanced University degree in Business or IT management;

Desirable:

  • Specialization in Financial Management, Procurement Management

Experience

Essential:

Minimum of five years of relevant experience, including

  • 4+ years hands on experience as a functional consultant in Oracle EBS implementation projects (including process mapping, GAP analysis, functional design, configuration, testing, post go-live stabilization);
  • Participation in at least 2 full cycle Oracle EBS implementations;
  • Solid experience of producing design documentation for RICEFW objects (customized developments);
  • Experience designing and improving business processes: procure-to-pay, public sector procurement, service contracting, financial reporting.
  • Experience with one or more industry standard systems implementation methodology like Oracle's AIM methodology, etc

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role working for a multinational consulting firm is an advantage;
  • IT project management experience.

Technical skills and competencies

Skills:

Essential:

  • In depth knowledge of Oracle EBS release 12i, Financials and procurement (GL, AR, AP, CM, FA, iSupplier, EDI, PO, iProcurement)
  • Ability to deal with complex situations and collaborate effectively in order to provide fast and effective problem resolutions;
  • Ability to resolve critical project issues by working effectively with Oracle support and client stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead workshops, build consensus and present best practices/point of view effectively.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

Desirable:

  • Accreditation in, or demonstrable understanding of, a recognized project management methodology such as PMI.

Languages

An excellent knowledge of English and preferably a good working knowledge of French or one of the following: Arabic, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish. Knowledge of other languages an asset.

The Global Fund is a foundation established under the laws of Switzerland enjoying certain privileges and immunities in Switzerland pursuant to a Headquarters Agreement concluded between the Swiss Federal Council and the Global Fund on 13 December 2004.

The person selected for this position will be appointed for a Continuing Duration contract.

We offer competitive remuneration packages. Salaries are paid in Swiss Francs, and salary and benefits of staff are exempt from taxation in Switzerland. This position is at Global Fund Grade 04 with a minimum basic annual salary of 103,600 Frs.
