Job Description

Job Summary:

The Oracle EPM System Administrator will support the Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud (ePBCS) system at Catholic Relief Services. This includes support in the use, design, development, configuration and testing of ePBCS modules. The administrator will perform functional tasks of medium-to-high technological complexity. The administrator will provide support in maximizing the value of ePBCS by identifying and recommending functional and technological solutions to improve business processes, enhance Planning and Budgeting functionality and meet internal and external reporting requirements while providing production and end user support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure ePBCS operates to meet CRS’ Planning and Budgeting objectives, including support, maintenance, testing, and developing functional/technical specifications.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support solutions for business automation on Oracle applications and functionality.
  • Administer/configure ePBCS Oracle EPM modules with a specific focus on Workforce & Capital Planning, as well as Financials Module (Multi – Year Planning).
  • Build and maintain Essbase Outlines, Calculation Scripts, Business Rules, Dimension Builds, Data Loads and Batch Automation Scripts.
  • Responsible for managing and monitoring the Oracle load process (ad hoc requests and nightly scheduled loads), data validation, and addressing load issues.
  • Optimize Essbase applications to enhance performance for data loads, aggregations and calculations, and data retrievals.
  • Oversee master data management and governance for Oracle EPM with primary focus on Workforce, Capital and Financials module.
  • Ensure application compliance with policies, procedures, and change control process.
  • Provide primary support in the development, testing, and maintenance of reports and dashboards utilizing ad-hoc queries, Smart View, Financial Reporting reports requested by users, and other tools as required.

Typical Background, Experience & Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in IT or Business degree with IT experience
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years overall IT experience with organizations greater than 1000 employees and with complex enterprise integrated
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience of Cloud based ERP
  • 1 - 2 years’ Practical configuration experience with the Oracle EPM Cloud Applications, including Essbase administration.

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of multi-dimensional database management
  • Good understanding of object-oriented design, modeling tools and
  • Familiar with core business process including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management (Bank reconciliations), Projects & Grants, Budgeting, Forecasting and
  • Ability to maintain application designs using industry standard system modeling processes and tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency (by testing or certification) in CRS application technologies.
  • Ability to learn new evolving technologies quickly and to understand potential business use cases.
