Job Description
The AVPN Partnerships team is responsible for developing, delivering and managing the grants and sponsorships that support AVPN in delivering on its mission to deliver Capital for Impact. Over the next 1–3 years, the Partnerships team will be focused on maximising the revenue potential from across the key revenue streams of grants, sponsorships and earned income by building on the existing and new partnerships.
In the last financial year, AVPN was supported by more than 50 funders across a range of projects, programs and signature events. The Partnerships Intern will support the team in managing and optimising our partnerships operations to drive growth and maximise value for the organisation.
Responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day tasks such as grants and sponsorships, developing and implementing processes to streamline operations, and providing administrative support as needed. This role requires strong organisational and communication skills, along with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. The role offers the opportunity to learn and expand knowledge about the philanthropic ecosystem in Asia.
Responsibilities
● Support the team in undertaking research to identify and prospect funding opportunities across the continuum of capital
● Gather market intelligence as needed to improve the team’s strategy, providing insights into industry trends, potential funding opportunities, and competitor activities to enhance our fundraising approach and decision-making processes
● Support the team to explore and develop new and innovative fundraising ideas, identifying creative strategies to enhance our funding efforts and drive organisational growth
● Assist in drafting and preparing grant proposals and sponsorship requests, while gathering and organising supporting documents and data for funding applications
● Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and organising files and databases
● Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
● Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science or a related discipline
● Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
● Basic knowledge of systems and tools to support partnership operations, including CRM software such as Salesforce, project management platforms, and communication tools such as Google Suite
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Ability to collect, collate and present information perceptively
