PAE is currently seeking a Passenger Handling Services Supervisor to support stability operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The Passenger Handling Services Supervisor is responsible for the efficient, departing and arriving passenger processing and all associated functions related to the Passenger Service Center. The Passenger Services Supervisor will be responsible to implement effective systems to manage:

  • Passenger Manifesting.
  • Passenger Baggage Management
  • Passport control and coordination with immigration officials for International Flights.
  • Passenger Services feedback survey including in-transit passenger direction and queries
  • Professional Services to VIP//Special Category Passengers including physical or medical disability.
  • Transport of Passengers (Boarding & Arrival)
  • Effective reporting and communication system to Air Terminal Operations Centre (ATOC) regarding boarding clearances, flight cancelations and delays. Including coordination with down line airports regarding last moment changes in the passenger load lists and schedules.
  • Dangerous Goods identification/ management system as defined by IATA and in accordance with UN directives
  • Reporting of Passenger Services data on a daily / weekly basis
  • Passenger Services Capacity training.

About the Organization

The Passenger handling Services Supervisor must have 5 years of experience in Passenger Services within the commercial airline industry, working in an operations center.

Specific skills and experience required include:

  • Flight controlling, customs/agriculture/immigration coordination, load departure message preparation and dispatch.
  • Computer literacy using MS-Outlook, Power Point, Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Databases.
  • Good planning, organizational, supervising and problem solving abilities.
  • A Valid driver’s license.
  • Familiar with the use of two way radios for communication.
  • Certification in Dangerous Goods awareness is mandatory.
  • Experience working in Africa will be an advantage.
