Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

PMC Project Manager is responsible for the successful management of the whole consultancy. The PMC Project Manager will manage PMC staff and closely collaborate with Project Management Unit (PMU) at TPDC to implement the Project. The PMC Project Manager will report to the TPDC director and MCA-Georgia on a regular basis and provide all requested information on time. The PMC Project Manager will be expected to submit a Management Plan.

Minimum Qualifications

The PMC Project Manager should have:

  • at least 10 years of experience designing and leading large-scale, complex education programs with a focus on general/secondary education, in developing or emerging economies,
  • an advanced degree in the field of Education or relevant discipline,
  • expertise in personnel management, project design and administration, client relationship management, and report writing,
  • experience in Georgia or the Region is required,
  • experience providing support and assistance to Ministry-level staff and officials,
  • the ability to facilitate timely and effective coordination among multiple agencies/stakeholders at the local and national levels,
  • experience with teacher and principal professional development systems,
  • experience implementing multi-faceted projects with an impact evaluation component, and
  • Fluency in English.

  • Knowledge of the Georgian language and culture
