Background Information - Job-specific

This position falls under Information Services Section in the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Under the guidance of Power Platform Team Lead, this candidate will be part of the Office 365 team. The candidate will responsible for setting up and managing the environments; implement security and DLP policies; and provide administration, monitoring, development and user support.

Functional Responsibilities
  • Deliver services and solutions using the Power Platform suite with Azure Integrations: Microsoft’s PowerApps, Power Automate, AI builder, SharePoint, Dynamics, Microsoft Teams, custom development, and data integrations.
  • Manage Environments, Configurations, Security, Integrations and Deployments
  • Maintain Dataverse
  • Create Custom components and connectors
  • Provide architecture designs, configurations, administration, and functional support to expand capabilities in Microsoft 365.
  • Identify new areas and business processes where O365 power platform can be leveraged and facilitate continual process improvement
  • Standardize and optimize the ways data is stored and retrieved
  • Create and maintain documentation for the environment and solutions
  • Provide daily production system support and user support
  • Support and cultivate the Power Platform user community
  • Develop and delivery of user training
  • Provide knowledge transfer to internal team members
Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education

  • Advanced University degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with additional 2 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced university degree.

Work Experience

Required:

  • Recent experience in managing Power Platform, Dynamics and Power Apps.
  • 2+ years of experience as SharePoint site collection administrator and/or SharePoint administrator or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of business systems analysis and troubleshooting experience

Desired:

  • Strong foundational knowledge of Office 365 platform including Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AD, and Azure logic apps and Exchange ecosystem
  • Strong .Net development experience with familiarity with C#, ASP.Net and front end technologies
  • Proficient in creating PowerShell scripts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technologies, technical and business concepts to multiple audiences
  • Experience in administration and development of reports on Power BI

Languages

Fluent oral and written communication skills in English

Contract type, level and duration

Contract type: Individual Contractor Agreement holders (ICAs)
Contract level: IICA-1/LICA-9/ICSC-9
Contract duration: 6 months with the possibility of extensions (monthly basis)
