Job Description

AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for a creative and talented Pricing Specialist to support implementation of an ongoing U.S. Department of State-funded global infrastructure and investment activity. This multi-year project provides infrastructure design and delivery support as well as transaction advisory services for transportation, energy, digital and other infrastructure investments in strategic economic corridors. This position will support the project management team to develop pricing templates, tools, and processes; price individual work assignments that align with activity work plans; support budget realignment exercises for the overall project budget; and prepare budgets for new business opportunities.

This role is initially part-time with the strong potential to scale into a full-time role as project demands increase.

This position will report to AECOM’s East Region Water Business Line in Chelmsford, MA, US and can be remote for qualified candidates currently living in the Continental United States.

The Pricing Specialist will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Develop pricing templates and other tools in Excel that help facilitate the collection and management of pricing information across AECOM business lines, geographies, and subcontractors.
  • Advise program management team on pricing strategies for project work plans, budget realignments and proposals.
  • Lead development of budgets in Excel for specific work assignments, including gathering inputs from AECOM business lines, geographies and subcontractors, and developing reasonable cost estimates and final budget submissions that meet staffing and other budget requirements including travel, allowances, and other direct costs.
  • Provide quality control for all budgets by assuring correctness of formulas and formatting, confirming accuracy, overseeing compliance with all contractual and corporate requirements, including profitability targets.
  • Identify pricing process improvements and tools in collaboration with project teams and train staff, as required.
  • Develop cost-related documentation required by solicitations (representations, certifications, etc.) and budget narratives describing cost assumptions, cost inputs, and other considerations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in finance, accounting, business, economics, international relations, or similar plus six years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience developing budgets for US Government contracts or proposal submissions, including USAID, Department of State, Millenium Challenge Corporation, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five plus years of relevant professional experience in pricing and cost estimating, business development, financial management, or project management
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines, take initiative, and accomplish work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
